Marine warehouse & cold storage cargo cover incorporating Institute Cargo Clauses (A) CL.252 (or Institute Cargo Clauses (Air) CL.388), Institute Frozen Food Clauses (A) CL.430 / Institute Frozen Meat Clauses (A) CL.324, with 24-hour refrigeration breakdown / derangement cover and fire & all-risks static storage extension for goods in approved ambient, chilled and deep-freeze facilities.

Deductible / excess

10% of loss value, min SLE 3,500 per claim.

Terms, warranties and endorsements

BASIS OF VALUATION — transit: CIF/CIP invoice value plus 10% (or actual landed cost); static cold storage: current market value or selling price less unincurred expenses, or agreed replacement cost. KEY UNDERWRITING WARRANTIES: active planned preventive maintenance (PPM) contract on refrigeration plant with certified engineers; continuous automated temperature loggers in every chamber, reefer truck and container, calibrated at least annually; standby diesel generators maintained in operational readiness with at least 48 hours of fuel and tested under full load bi-weekly; incoming cargo received at safe core temperature (-18°C or colder frozen; 0°C to +4°C chilled). SUB-LIMITS AND DEDUCTIBLES for transit, refrigeration machinery breakdown, refrigerant contamination, debris removal and re-freezing/mitigation are as stated in the policy schedule.
